Chef Rod Butters
Chef Rod Butters is one of the most well-known chefs in the Okanagan Valley and culinary pioneers of embracing local ingredients. He oversees Sunny’s – A Modern Diner and The Okanagan Table. He opened his first Kelowna restaurant in 2001 called Fresco (then becoming RauDZ Regional Table) and earned a AAA Four Diamond Award in the first year of operation. His local-fave breakfast spot, Sunny’s – A Modern Diner, appeared on Food Network’s “Big Food Bucket List” where he showcased his now infamous “Chicks on a Raft” breakfast sandwich. Chef Rod was inducted into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame in 2007 and launched a wildly successful cookbook called “The Okanagan Table: The Art of Everyday Home Cooking” which won Best Regional Cookbook at the World Gourmand Awards

Chef Mark Filatow
Chef Mark Filatow is passionate about using local farmers, suppliers and purveyors at his award winning restaurant, Waterfront Wines Restaurant. Waterfront Wines was awarded “Best New Restaurant in Canada” by enRoute Magazine back in 2005 and has continued to live up to this honour 15+ years later. Chef Mark participated in the 2012 BC Regional competition for Gold Medal Plates, winning the Gold Medal and moving on to participate in the National Comptetion in 2013. 12 Years running, the restaurant continues to be named the “Best Restaurant in the Okanagan” and Western Living Magazine recognized Chef Mark as one of the “Top Foodies Under 40”.

Chef James Holmes
A little later to the game, Chef James Holmes started his culinary career at age 27 and has made an incredible name for himself. Now the Chef at Salt & Brick and Jack’s Pizza & Liquor, he continues to prove his culinary chops by participating in events like the 2019 Great Kitchen Party Competition and 2020 Virtual Kelowna Great Kitchen Party Competition. Salt & Brick was also featured on Food Network’s “Big Food Bucket List” where Chef James showed off some of his whimsical and delicious plates. Chef James also competed on Food Network’s “Fire Masters” which airs in June 2020.

Chef Brock Bowes
Chef Brock Bowes has made a big splash in the Kelowna Culinary Industry overseeing three amazing food staples: CrAsian Food Truck, BoxCar Kitchen and Provisions Kitchen. Chef Brock is no stranger to competitions and in 2015 he won Chopped Canada and in both 2015 and 2016 he participated in CCFCC Nationals, placing second and third in Canada. He also competed in the 2015 BC Regional Qualifier for Gold Medal Plates and 2019 Great Kitchen Party Kelowna Event. Most recently, you would have seen Chef Brock compete on Top Chef Canada in 2020.

Chef Chris Braun
Up and coming Chef Chris Braun is the Chef at recently opened (Spring 2023) restaurant Erica Jane. He completed the Advanced Salumi Course in Italy and was recently welcomed in 2020 as a member of Culinary Team BC. Chef Chris won the Gold Medal for the 2020 Virtual Great Kitchen Party’s regional Kelowna Competition.
