Hester Creek’s wine is very approachable with bottles starting at $15 but they also produce some amazing reds for the more established drinker.

The Judge

One of the newest kids on the block, Phantom Creek made a statement in the Okanagan when they started development on their massive property in 2017. Now completed, it is impossible not to notice this winery perched high above the Black Sage Bench in Oliver. When you visit, you will be in awe of the spectacular architecture and feel.  Once inside you will enjoy some of their amazing wines while overlooking one of their vineyards and valley.

Check out this exclusive high-end winery that has received international acclaim for their Chardonnay and Merlot wines. Situated above the Golden Mile Bench, this winery gives you amazing views of the valley while you enjoy some of the most expensive wines in the Okanagan. Wineries like this are usually reserved for the elite but CheckMate gives everyone the opportunity to experience the Okanagan’s “finest” wine.

Black Hills tasting experience is one of the best in the South Okanagan. You will be seated on their covered patio overlooking their pool and enjoy a flight of their portfolio or just the reds. Known for their red varietals, Black Hills also offers some unique whites including Roussanne.

Did You Know?
Their pool hosted the world’s first ever “Water Ballet” during an event in 2014. Currently they do not allow any swimming in the pool known as their winery “water feature”.

Tinhorn Creek started with a few barrels in the basement and has now grown into a must visit when in the South Okanagan. Boasting one of the top winery restaurants in Miradoro, you can spend an entire afternoon on this property. Their tasting room is propped up above their vineyard and overlooking the valley. After your tasting, head over to the restaurant and make sure to try one of the pizzas!

Oldfield Reserve Wines

Known for being North Americas first Indigenous winery, Nk’Mip Cellars showcases the history and importance of the Indigenous people on the history of the Okanagan. Upon entering the winery, you will find local artisan products on top of their spectacular wine. Make sure to stay for lunch and enjoy their patio overlooking Lake Osoyoos.

Follow the winding road through the farmlands of the Ellison Area of North Kelowna to Ancient Hill Winery, a boutique family winery. The tasting room makes you feel that you are stepping into a European, old world winery. After your tasting, make your way out to the covered patio area to take in the North Kelowna Valley Views. Their wines are delicious small lot varietals that are made from grapes grown and processed onsite at the winery.
